Hold things lightly

I recently read an article on making plans and the author expressed that she had learned to hold things lightly; today i decided to make this my mantra. I am going to practice holding things lightly in my life both positive and negative.

Gratitude Is Holding Things Loosely, Knowing That Everything Can be Taken Away

Covid 19 has taught me that in life we can only but hold things lightly. Our jobs, our freedom, our healthcare system, and even our lives but the same can be said for the good things in our life, be grateful for the positive and negative experiences you go through hold them lightly so you can hold something new.

Take Action

Maya Angelou - Once made a list of all the things she was grateful for when she thought she was about to lose her mind.
  1. Make a list of all the things you may be holding on to a little too tightly

  2. Express your gratitude to things or person you're holding on to

  3. Let them go... for a while

This might look like going without your car and walking to work, you may find that the traffic during rush hour no longer seems so bad; when you're sitting in the comfort of your private car.
